About

Train My Dog and Me is a dog-friendly, science-based training business in Mount Airy run by Sam Matlick, CPDT-KA. When it helps, well-behaved canine assistants join sessions, since some dogs learn more easily from a calm older dog.

Services

Work begins with an initial consultation of 60 to 90 minutes that reviews the dog's history and the family's goals and sets the training plan. Private sessions are held in the client's home or at an agreed park or public place, usually weekly for three to six sessions with homework between. Day training runs two to four weeks, five days a week, either in the client's home or in the trainer's home, with the owner involved so the learning carries over. A sliding scale is available on request.
