Training with Karen is a dog training practice in the Millsboro area, based in Sussex County and serving clients throughout Delaware. Karen describes her approach as balanced and structured, centered on clarity, accountability and relationship, and she specializes in reactivity, anxiety, adolescent challenges and behavior modification, along with foundations for puppies and young dogs. She credits herself with 8+ years of professional training, advancing to Head Trainer within an established program before launching her own practice, and work with over a thousand dogs.

Programs

Private lessons run in 60-90 minute increments for dogs 9 weeks and older and can address jumping, barking, nipping, crate and potty training, leash pulling, reactivity, obedience and aggression issues. Puppy 1: Foundations for Life covers eye contact, basic commands, patience, socialization and crate training, and Puppy II adds a five-day board and train in Karen's home. Adult programs include Household Family Member: Essential Obedience, Out and About Adventurer: Conquering the Outdoors, and My Incredible Dogs Life: Ultimate Training Experience. Board and train programs range from one to six weeks, including a three-week board and train for dependable obedience. In-home lessons carry an added travel fee.
