About Upper Suncoast Dog Training Club
A volunteer club since 1964
Upper Suncoast Dog Training Club is a non-profit, all-breed training facility at 2101 Logan Street in Clearwater, in the area since 1964. It is an AKC member club run by a large staff of volunteer instructors, and its goal is the Total Dog concept: teaching responsible dog ownership through positive training and education. The club's motto is "Happiness is a Well-Trained Dog."
Classes
Classes cover every dog from puppies to seniors, from manners to competition. The menu includes puppy classes, obedience, rally, agility, conformation, and tricks and freestyle, plus therapy dog training for owners who want to give back. The club also runs an AKC Ambassador program, a Joyful Paws therapy dog group, trick dogs, a R.E.A.D. program and Fit Dog, and hosts events such as rally trials.
Members' results
Members post their dogs' achievements, from an AKC Rally Novice title earned with a perfect score of 100 on one qualifying leg to an Agility Grand Champion title. Instructors named alongside these results include Obedience 1 instructors Glenna Gilb and Claudia Stappert and rally instructor Elizabeth Dolezal.
