About Urban Ruffneck K9 Training

What they offer

Urban Ruffneck K9 Training is an in-home behavior modification trainer based in Edmond and working across the OKC metro, for anxiety, reactivity and dogs that are not listening. Every program starts with a 2-hour, in-home consultation to assess the dog's personality, habits and body language. Programs include Puppy Primer for pups as young as 8 weeks (potty, crate, leash, recall and confidence), Better Together for rescues and older dogs, and its flagship Lifelong Journey program of in-home and public sessions with lifetime trainer access and invitations to pack walks.

How they train

The site describes balanced, fear-free behavior training. It says the trainer is a Pet Professional Guild member, an AKC Canine Good Citizen evaluator who also tests Urban Canine and Trick Dog, a certified dog bite prevention educator and a Canine Trade Group trainer, with years of animal-health experience as a former vet tech.

Who trains

The founder and lead trainer is Loreanne Cowan. Bite-prevention education is included with every package.
