About Vany’s Paws

Who they are

Vany's Paws, LLC is a small dog training practice in Marshfield, in Webster County east of Springfield. The site is written in the first person but does not give the trainer's name; what it does give is a background – 23 years working with dogs as a veterinary assistant and technician as well as a dog trainer, which the site says has given a strong understanding of dogs.

How it starts

The intake is a free evaluation, offered by call or text. The site explains what that visit is for: assessing the dog's personality, temperament, social development and problems, and deciding whether trainer and owner are a good fit for each other. That is a modest and honest framing of a first appointment, and it means an owner can get a read on the practice before committing money.

What is covered

The stated specialisms are behavior modification, puppy training, good manners, emotional support and socialization. The emphasis throughout is on the owner rather than the dog alone – the site describes programs designed to give busy dog owners the tools to communicate with their dogs, and its own line is that accomplishments come from practice.

Worth knowing

This is a small site with a home page and a contact page, and it publishes no prices or program lengths; the business points to its Facebook and Instagram pages for stories, pictures and videos of the work. The phone number carries an Ohio area code, but the business address and its own listing are in Marshfield.
