About Varro Pet Services LLC

Varro Pet Services is a small pet-care business on about five acres near Trumansburg, run by a trainer the site's client testimonials name as Caleb. It sells three things, and only one of them is training, which the site is straightforward about: dog walking, home-style boarding, and private dog training. The stated principle is to do a few things well and keep the numbers small – the site puts total capacity at about half a dozen dogs and boarding at two spots at a time.

Private training

Training is sold one-to-one at $75 per session. The published description covers a wide span: enthusiastic puppies just beginning, through to reactive dogs requiring specialized behavior modification. The method is described as positive reinforcement used to build trust, improve obedience, and work on specific challenges.

Method

The site puts the owner-dog relationship at the front of the training rather than treating it as a by-product. Its own phrasing is that while working on specific challenges it works to strengthen the relationship between owner and pup so that communication improves. The business describes over ten thousand hours of working with dogs.

The rest of the business

Dog walking is priced at $25 for thirty minutes and $40 for an hour, and is described as tailored to the dog's temperament and energy rather than a fixed route. Boarding is $100 a night, with $25 a night for an additional dog from the same home, and is described as a home-style stay with time and exercise rather than kennel space. Neither is training, and neither is counted as training supply here.

Booking

Every dog is evaluated before the business works with it: the site requires a meet and greet before any booking, training included.
