About Versatile Dog Boarding and Training

What they offer

Versatile Dog Training, Boarding and Doggy Daycare operates from County Road 308 in Calhoun City. Its site says the business is doing gun dog training, hunt test training, obedience training, pet boarding, doggy daycare and simple dog grooming, and its menu also lists client seminars and a hunt test program.

How the training works

The About Me section describes a trainer who adjusts the method to the dog rather than forcing the dog through a method. It says she has long experience with e-collars and is now learning to use shaping, luring and clickers alongside them, still using e-collars as a reinforcer. The site also says she takes clinics or seminars yearly to keep up with current training methods.

Background

The site introduces Bridget Bodine and credits her with 35 years as a student of the dog, saying she started out in the show-dog world before moving into training. Owners looking for field work for a hunting breed, or basic obedience with boarding on the same property, can call the number on the site to ask what fits their dog.
