About Wags

Wags describes itself as "a professional dog care facility" whose tagline is "YOUR DOGS HOME AWAY FROM HOME", offering "a safe and comfortable environment for all your dogs boarding, daycare and training needs". The Martin City location is at 14522 Holmes Rd, Kansas City, MO 64145 on 816-352-4927, and a second site operates in Peculiar, Missouri. The facility is described as having multiple outdoor play yards, central heating and cooling, camera surveillance and smoke detection.

Training, and what it costs

Training is priced on the same page as the boarding rates. An in-home consult is $125, and the page states that clients "Must call and set up a consult before training". One-to-one training is $75 for 45 minutes, described as "A refresh on basic training". The board-and-train program is $975 a week and its contents are itemized: an in-home preboarding consult, "4-30 minute sessions of 1 on 1 training with a Certified Canine Behaviorist per day", two 30-minute sessions of socialization and manners training per day, a post-program in-home session with the family, and daily progress videos.

Staff credentials as stated

The about section says that "All of our staff have been trained by a Certified Professional Dog Trainer as well as a Certified Canine Behaviorist" and are educated in "dog wellness, danger signs and introductions". The page adds that the facility has "had a lot of success with nervous and anxious dogs".
