About Wild Acre Kennels

Hunting dog training in Le Center

Wild Acre Kennels is a training, boarding and breeding kennel in Le Center, just south of the Twin Cities, owned by Andrew and RaeLynn Skluzacek. Established in 2017, it specializes in turning dogs into hunting companions; Andrew, who began training dogs at 18, leads the training programs with over 15 years of experience, and RaeLynn runs the breeding of British and American Labrador retrievers. The kennel says it was voted best dog trainer in 2023 and 2024.

Programs

Training includes obedience plus introduction, intermediate and advanced hunting programs focused on obedience, advanced fieldwork and hunting skills. Andrew has appeared on The Fowl Life Podcast discussing duck dogs and obedience.

Boarding

Boarding dogs get four daily walks or runs, climate-controlled kennels cleaned twice a day, and food provided. Dogs previously trained at Wild Acre can add a refresher course to their stay. Dog spa services are also available.
