About Wild At Heart Canine Academy
A Fort Worth training academy
Wild at Heart Canine Academy is a dog training company in Fort Worth that calls itself "DFW's Leading Dog Training Company." It was founded by Hanna Keith, who holds a degree in Animal Behavior and Wellness from Purdue University and earned the title of Certified Canine Trainer and Behavior Specialist at Starmark Academy. She is also an AKC Canine Good Citizen Evaluator and an IACP member. Her sister Aubrie Keith is co-founder and lead trainer.
Method and tools
The team describes its methods as science-based and humane, and teaches dogs both "yes" and "no" so expectations are clear. Its intake form names the tools it may use, including slip, prong and martingale collars, long lines and an e-collar. Every new client starts with a 45-60 minute evaluation, by appointment only, followed by a tailored training plan.
Programs
Options include private lessons and lesson memberships, a Puppy Start Right board and train, the Wild at Heart board and train, a hybrid program, boarding, dayschool, group classes such as Canine Mastermind and Trick Dog, and man trailing.
What owners say
One client wrote: "I dropped off my poorly behaved puppy and picked up a puppy with manners."
