About Wolf Mountain Kennel
Boarding kennel on 60 fenced acres
Wolf Mountain Kennel is a boarding kennel in Danby, at the edge of the Green Mountain National Forest. It sits on 60 privately owned acres that are completely fenced, so boarding dogs can even hike during their stay. Suites open into a central dog lounge with couches, rugs and a fireplace, and a padded, climate-controlled indoor play area covers bad-weather days. Social dogs are carefully introduced to other social dogs for play time, and the kennel also accommodates dogs who do not wish to socialize. The owner lives on the property.
Training
The kennel calls itself a one-stop shop for training needs, from a new puppy to Tracking, Obedience and Trick Dog work, and its class menu includes a Puppy Class and Manners | CGC. Training is tailored to each dog's temperament, breed characteristics and the communication between dog and owner. All new students attend a 15-minute evaluation before group class, a one-time charge of $40, and dogs need current age-appropriate vaccinations including rabies and Bordetella. Daycare and dock diving with a pool are offered as well.
What to ask
Ask when the next Puppy Class or Manners | CGC session starts, and about boarding and daycare rates.
