About Youngs Dog Training LLC

What they do

Youngs Dog Training publishes a service set organized around who does the work. Board and train is split into three stages the site names itself – puppy manners, adolescent and adult – described respectively as a structured introduction to routines and foundational skills, a reset in structure and enrichment for established behavior patterns, and an extended program for dogs that need more time to decompress and work through entrenched patterns. There is also a hands-off in-home option and owner-focused sessions delivered virtually or at the client's home.

The approach

The about page sets out an unusually explicit position: that dogs do not experience life separately from their environment, health, daily routines, past experiences and relationships, and that the trainer's goal is to help families understand the behavior they are seeing by looking at the whole picture rather than only changing the behavior.

How it is structured

Every program starts from a free 30-minute services inquiry, which can be run by video call, phone or home visit, followed by a 90-minute consultation. Follow-up maintenance sessions are sold in packages. Group courses are listed as not currently offered, with online classes flagged as coming.

Credentials

Jonathan Young is listed at this business's own domain in both the AKC Canine Good Citizen evaluator register and the IAABC register as an Accredited Dog Trainer.
