About Zion Canyon Canine Recreation Center & Spa

Care and training in Hurricane

Zion Canyon Canine is a dog care center on State Street in Hurricane, about 30 minutes from Zion National Park. It describes over 40 years of working with dogs across behavior, grooming, overnight lodging, training, sports and veterinary care, and says it has a knack for taking on dogs that others cannot. Alongside training it offers DayCamp, overnight lodging, grooming, spa services and pool rental, and new clients can book a complimentary consultation.

Training programs

The Play 'N Train program adds training to DayCamp and comes in three levels to suit different needs and budgets. The Social Puppy Program is a DayCamp schedule for pups under six months, built around confidence, safe handling skills and early foundations. Private Lessons run from basic training to behavior modification, one-on-one in your home or on-site, with flexible scheduling and package deals.

The owner and team

Owner Hanna Crawford worked six years at a boarding, daycare and training facility near Zion, then groomed for eight years before opening her own salon in 2017. In 2019 she moved into a larger building that added lodging, daycamp and training, and Zion Canyon Canine was born. She has competed with her own dogs in dock diving, agility, disc, barn hunt, rally and FastCat. Play Care attendants have taken The Dog Gurus safety and behavior courses, and the facility is a member of IBPSA and The Dog Gurus.
