About Bossy Pawz

Pet care first, with private training alongside

Bossy Pawz is a Naperville-area pet sitting and dog walking business that also sells dog training. The about page says “Judy Taylor is the founder of Bossy Pawz,” describes her as “a native German country girl who grew up surrounded by animals of all sizes,” and says that “in 2014 she made her passion her dream job.” It credits her with “a strong background in animal care, dog training, nutrition” and says she is actively involved with local rescues. The business states it has been caring for pets since 2014 and serves Naperville, Bolingbrook, Romeoville and Plainfield.

Training and the other services

Training is sold as private work rather than classes: “We offer a wide variety of private dog training services specific to your pet’s needs. Whether you just brought home a brand new puppy or you’re looking for something more advanced, we have a solution.” The rest of the offer is dog walking, described as one-on-one adventures with undivided attention; pet sitting drop-in visits including playtime, feeding and litter box duty; and overnight care, offered as a 12 hour overnight stay in the client’s own home.

How the business is run

The values section is specific about operating practice. Visits are exclusive: “No children, pets, or other guests will be at the pet sitting or dog walking visits.” The company says it is fully bonded and insured and will provide documentation on request. It employs its sitters and walkers rather than using contractors — “Our team of pet sitters and dog walkers are certified and trained employees, not independent contractors” — and says each one is background checked and certified in Pet First Aid and CPR. Scheduling uses online registration with GPS tracking and live updates during appointments.
