About Instinct Dog Behavior & Training Nashville

Instinct Dog Behavior & Training Nashville is the Middle Tennessee location of Instinct, a national group of locally owned dog-behavior practices.

What they publish

The service menu is private coaching, Camp + Coaching (their board-and-train, paired with private sessions), Puppy Camp + Coaching, Home School + Coaching, group learning, and daycare and boarding framed specifically around behavioral health rather than as plain care. There is also an around-the-clock AI coaching product with human oversight. The published areas of expertise are behavior therapy, life skills and manners, puppy development, adolescent and senior behavior support, dog-and-kid safety, and collaboration with veterinary behavior teams.

How the training runs

Everything sits under a framework the company calls Nature-Driven Nurture. In their description it runs in two steps: an assessment of the dog's "nature" – the combination of biological factors, individual traits and life experiences particular to that animal – and then a "nurture" plan built from environments, relationship dynamics, wellness routines and learning experiences designed around what the assessment found. The site describes the approach as practical and positive, and states they welcome dogs of all breeds, ages and behavior challenges, including fear, anxiety, reactivity and aggression, with the line "We're not here to judge, we're here to help."

What is and is not local

Instinct's material is written at company level: the brand was founded in 2009 in New York City and now runs locations in several states, and every location is described as locally owned and operated. The company states that it requires all coaches to hold industry certifications and to follow national standards on methodology and client care.
