About Pup Pub Academy

Pup Pub Academy trains out of Shipley Road in Cookeville under the line "Enjoy your dog. Enjoy your life." and says it works "to families in Tennessee and surrounding states based of the needs of you and your pup". Every program on the services page carries a price.

Board and train

Three stays are published. A short-term board and train targets specific gaps and recommends a minimum of seven days. The five-week all-inclusive program is flagged as the most popular one, and it happens in the trainer's household: "Your dog stays in our home and lives with us for 3-5 weeks to learn: place, sit, down, stay, wait, heel, off, come, and gain an understanding of some basic house rules!" It ends in a family graduation class and "ONE YEAR OF FREE FOLLOW UPS!" A twelve-day puppy school sits below both, restricted to "Puppies must be between the ages of 10 and 15 weeks old".

Classes and private lessons

Group classes run as a puppy class, a basic obedience class, and a CGC prep course that works "out in various public places to proof your dog’s commands." Private lessons are offered either at the academy or at your home, with travel fees disclosed before booking, and the stated aim is "to help you get into the mindset of a trainer and learn to speak your dog’s language".

Aggression work

This is handled as its own category rather than folded into obedience. "Aggression cases are taken on a case by case basis." and start with a private lesson and a phone consultation. Muzzle conditioning is sold separately, with the framing "Muzzles are NOT just for aggressive dogs!" and the muzzle itself selected and provided by the trainer.
