About Highland Canine Training – Roanoke

Highland Canine Training – Roanoke is the local branch of a larger dog training company, and the Roanoke page is written around one trainer: "Our certified, professional dog trainer, David Hamblin, has the expertise and knowledge to help you achieve your dog training goals."

What is offered in Roanoke

The page is specific about which of the parent company's services are available here: "For our clients in Roanoke, we offer private lessons, group classes and board and train programs." Private lessons are in-home – "With private lessons, our trainers come to your home once per week" – and follow an initial evaluation and an action plan. Board and train runs three or six weeks, with a handover session at pickup. Group classes cover basic and advanced obedience, puppy classes, and foundational search and rescue and scent work.

The problems they take on

The page leans toward difficult cases, saying the company has "developed a reputation for diagnosing and resolving troublesome dog behaviors" and covering "everything from simple obedience training, to more troublesome aggression and behavioral problems."
