About Tails of Success Dog Training

Tails of Success is an in-home trainer working Charlotte, and its own site publishes a three-tier program ladder with the price on each rung – something few trainers in this metro do.

The three programs and what they cost

The entry program is $365. The Silver Dog Program is six in-home sessions at $659 and is described as getting a household on the right track with puppy manners. The Gold Dog Program is a three-month, twelve-session in-home program at $1,199. The published curriculum across them runs from sit, come, stay and drop-it through leash walking to puppy biting and house manners, and into problem behaviors including jumping on guests, counter surfing, barking and bolting out of doors. Puppy field trips are published as their own service, and day training is offered for owners too busy for weekly sessions.

Method, and a notable commitment

The site is positive-reinforcement only and argues the case for it directly – trust, a positive learning environment, better obedience and fewer unwanted behaviors. It also publishes something unusual: if the business is not the best fit for an owner and dog, it will refer them to another certified, force-free trainer. The trainer is described as regularly helping new puppy owners raise confident dogs with good social skills and also working with reactive and fearful dogs.

Who it’s best for

Best for a Charlotte owner who wants the whole price ladder visible before the first call, and who wants force-free work at home.
