About The Dog Pack Training & Adventures
The Dog Pack Training & Adventures combines obedience and socialization training with adventure days and day camps, serving Charlotte and the towns south and west of it. Its own site names two people: a head trainer and the founder, who opened a Charlotte daycare and boarding facility in 2009 and built the training side out of that experience.
The training programs
Three are published, split by age. The Puppy Package Day Boot Camp is for puppies aged three to six months and teaches basic concepts and obedience behaviors as a game. Day Camp and Train is for dogs six months and over and covers basic obedience, house manners and interaction with other dogs. Board and Train, also for dogs six months and over, runs multiple training sessions each day with on-leash and, when appropriate, off-leash walks in the surrounding area as training progresses. All clients go through facility training first, learning daily routines, obedience and behavior so they can safely join group play; after a minimum two-week course a dog can join weekly day camp sessions with the pack.
Method
The site's stated belief is that any owner can reach balance with their dog given guidance and consistency, and it describes studying how well-balanced older dogs teach younger ones confidence and social behavior through polite corrections.
Who it’s best for
Best for an owner who wants training and structured group play in the same place, especially for a puppy or an adolescent dog.
