About TOP Dog Training – TRUST, OBEY, PERFORM

TOP Dog Training publishes itself as "Located in Sneads Ferry, NC" and working in Jacksonville, Surf City, Holly Ridge, Hampstead, Wilmington, Hubert, Richlands and Swansboro.

What they publish

Home Based Lessons and Board and Train are the two delivery formats, alongside Virtual 1-on-1 Coaching. The training itself is published in three tiers. Basic Obedience covers recall, sit, down, stay, heel, leave it and leash-walking skills. Behavior Modification is described as going "beyond quick fixes" for excessive barking, anxiety and aggression, starting by analyzing the dog's patterns and triggers, and explicitly not "a 2-3 week band-aid solution". Advanced Performance covers long-distance recall, long-distance stay, focused heel, retrieve, drop it and climb, and states the dog will "walk and run off-leash under your command".

How they describe the method

The site names it directly: "We don't train dogs first. We train humans to speak dog," on the stated grounds that dogs learn quickly while people struggle with clarity and consistency. It describes the approach as "Certified, Ethical, Reward-Based and Science-Backed", and elsewhere as balanced, and frames the three pillars as building Trust, teaching Obedience and unlocking Performance.

What is included

Their published list covers weekly group leadership calls, unlimited trainer question access, lifetime free refresher lessons, unlimited support via a private client chat, weekend group classes, video check-ins and personalized lessons. Two commitments are stated repeatedly: training timelines are "based on RESULTS and ACCOMPLISHMENT, not just a set number of days/weeks", for one price, and refresher training is free for the life of the dog.

Credentials they claim

The site states its trainers are Certified Professional Dog Trainers (CPDT-KA) and describes a special operations military background. Both are the business's own claims. Financing options are offered and the evaluation is free; ask about prices at the evaluation.
