About Applewood Boarding Kennels

What it is

Applewood Boarding Kennel sits at 164 Frank Lacy Road, Pulaski, New York 13142. Boarding is the main business: the site describes "a calm, stress-free, home-away-from-home experience" for dogs, cats and other small animals, in "spacious, safe, and clean accommodations" with daily exercise, supervised play, grassy outdoor yards and a climate-controlled indoor space.

The training side

Training is published as its own service rather than implied. The site's service card reads "Humane, effective training & behavior services for dogs of all sizes and ages, and the humans who love them", and the longer description says: "At Applewood Boarding Kennel we offer affordable, proven dog training and behavior modification for clients throughout the Syracuse and Central New York area, including Fulton, Oswego, Pulaski, and beyond." Programs are described as tailored to the relationship between owner and dog – manners, bond, and "a healthy outlet both mentally and physically".

Format

"Optional One-on-One Training" is listed among what boarding guests can receive, so training and a stay can be combined. Ask about program lengths and prices.

What clients say

The testimonials on the site are about the boarding care rather than the training. One, from a self-described veterinary professional, reads: "As a veterinary professional, I have experienced my fair share of kennels, and Applewood far surpasses any I have used before."
