Happy Hounds And Beyond is a behavior consultancy, and it is aimed squarely at the owner who is already at the end of their rope. The site opens on that rather than on services: fear, reactivity, aggression, anxiety, big emotions, a dog who cannot settle.

The page speaks to people who have tried more exercise, tried advice from the internet that worked for someone else's dog, spend their time avoiding triggers, and have started to wonder whether rehoming is the only option. Its answer is the line the practice is built on: "Your dog isn't a problem to be fixed. Their behavior is information."

How it works

Everything is customized around the individual dog and person, their history, environment and what will actually work in their real life, rather than a standard program. The owner is named on the site as Lauren, with more than fifteen years working with dogs and their people. Lessons are available in person and online.

There are two lighter entry points as well as hiring: a free guide to reading body language, triggers, thresholds and prevention, and a library of resources on behavior, emotions, enrichment and reactivity. The first step offered is a conversation rather than a booking.
