What they offer

Meraki Dog Company specializes in board and train programs in the trainer's own home, alongside in-home lesson packages and boarding for graduates. Living in a home setting lets the trainer see a dog's everyday habits, such as barking at the mail carrier, counter surfing, pulling on walks or whining in a crate, and train them, then coach the owner.

Programs

Obedience I covers on-leash foundations for dogs four months and older: heel with stops, starts and turns, name recognition, the foundation for recall, positive and negative markers, and rude behaviors such as jumping and counter surfing. Obedience II is for dogs that already have the basics and uses an e-collar for off-leash recall and heel in distracting environments, geared to hiking, camping and adventure goals.

Boarding is only for dogs that completed the board and train or in-home program, with just a few dogs at a time.
