About Western Slope Canines, LLC

What they offer

Western Slope Canines is a training business based in Whitewater. Its classes run from puppy obedience to advanced off-leash obedience and American Kennel Club classes, and its specialty courses cover nose work, agility, IPO (formerly Schutzhund) and a personal protection dog program. The site says classes and curriculum are tailored to each dog and handler, and that clients who are not completely satisfied may retake classes for free.

About the trainer

Owner and lead instructor Donna Tessier is credited on the about page with more than 44 years of training, both independently and as an assistant trainer at a New England training academy. She has instructed obedience, agility, personal protection, IGP, search and rescue and nose work, and since moving to western Colorado has specialized in high-drive working dogs and dogs with behavioral issues that other trainers have not been able to help.
