Your Dog's Other BFF is a Huntsville dog trainer run by Torri, who describes her methods as humane, science-based and built on positive reinforcement. Every client starts with an initial consultation ($175) to meet the family and dog and design a training plan.

Lessons at home

Private lessons take place in the client's home, which the site recommends for young puppies, newly adopted rescues, fearful dogs and hard-to-solve habits such as counter-surfing and door-dashing. A single lesson is $150, with discounts for packs of two, four or six.

Board and train

The Best Friend Package is a two-week schoolcation for puppies up to six months old. Board and Train runs from two weeks to a month in a low-stress setting away from crowded, noisy kennels, covering basics like sit, stay and leash manners plus jumping, housebreaking and reactivity. It includes pickup and drop-off, video and written notes, a go-home session, a two-week follow-up lesson and lifetime support by email or video call. Phone (256) 694-6860.
