About Black Belt Canine Academy
What they offer
Black Belt Canine Academy is a family-owned business providing private training to households in the Catalina Foothills and greater Tucson. Its services include puppy training, basic and advanced obedience and behavior modification for problems such as barking, pulling, jumping and separation anxiety. Custom packages also cover aggression training for reactivity and resource guarding, therapy dog training, off-leash work, hunting, air-scent tracking and protection.
How sessions work
Every package begins with a two- to three-hour session at your home with the Lead Trainer, Andrew, who assesses the situation, evaluates the dog and starts the foundations of training with the whole family. He then builds a plan of 2, 5, 10 or 15 one-hour sessions, weekly or biweekly. Training is always private and can take place at home or at a location such as a public park. The site says its puppy training usually focuses on dogs from 7 months to 2 years.
Background
The site claims more than 25 years in the pet industry and over 2,800 dogs worked with.
