Programs
The AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy class is a six-week course for puppies aged 8 to 16 weeks at the start, built around early socialization, manners and reward-based training. Board and train keeps the dog at the facility for five or twelve days of training with private lessons for the owner afterwards, and a puppy starter version uses marker training for puppies of 8 to 16 weeks. Day training lets owners drop a dog off in the morning for one-on-one work and learn the day's lessons at pick-up. Private lessons are also offered.
Group classes
Group classes are for dogs that have finished their initial program. The branch runs two kinds, Fundamentals and Train As You Live, which practice obedience around real-world distractions and everyday scenarios.
How they train
The adult board and train programs use the brand's remote collar system, while the puppy programs use marker training.
