About The Grounded Dog

What they offer

The Grounded Dog brings training to the owner's home and neighborhood within its two service areas around Four Corners in Maple Valley and Reber Ranch in Kent. Work starts with an in-home evaluation to look at the behaviors and set a plan, followed by in-home lessons, its most requested service. Day training sessions of up to four hours focus on one or two key behaviors, with videos that show owners how to continue. Approved clients can join drop-in group classes to practice around other people and dogs, and Pack Days offer a structured day focused on calm, connected behavior.

The trainers say they have experience with a wide range of tools and techniques and choose what works best for each home, family and dog.

About the trainer

Kaytlyn Perin-Tate studied at the Michael Ellis school for dog trainers, completing courses in behavior management, behavior modification, e-collar use and obedience, and holds Canine Human Relationship Institute certifications.
