About Diamonds In the Ruff
What they offer
Diamonds in the Ruff teaches group classes and private lessons for dogs of all ages and their families, with kids welcome, from its classroom at the base of the North Monroe Street hill in Spokane; a limited set of evening classes also runs on the South Hill. The site marks 30 years of training in the Spokane area. Classes run as four-week sessions of one weekly class at beginning, intermediate and advanced levels, and puppies under four and a half months can start in the beginning class right away.
Behavior help
Behavior Solutions covers private lessons and behavior consultations for dogs that need more than a group class. The owners' mission also includes adopter training classes, behavior assessments and support for local shelters and rescues, and public education on bite safety.
How they train
The school calls itself a force-free, fear-free zone and uses reward-based methods that do not rely on physical strength or intimidation, with the goal of a dog that listens to and follows directions from the whole family.
