About Pawsitive Training ABQ

What they offer

Pawsitive Training ABQ is an Albuquerque dog training business that specializes in puppies, though it also helps owners of adult dogs. Its team of four Karen Pryor Academy certified trainers all work from the same science-based, positive reinforcement philosophy, and the team covers the area from Bernalillo to Belen.

How they work

Programs fit around family life: the trainers can coach the owner, train alongside them, or take on the heavy lifting through day training. Puppy work starts with the whole puppy, including sleep, physical and emotional needs and confidence, before moving to cues, and socialization is treated as learning to stay calm and confident around new dogs, people and places rather than meeting as many as possible.

Goals

Training is built around the skills each household needs, from a dog who settles at a cafe or campsite to one who comes when called on the trail or greets guests calmly.
