About Joyful Paws Service Dogs

About

Joyful Paws Service Dogs, established in 2017 at 449 Rainbow Road in Windsor, helps people with disabilities train their own service dog or gain access to a started, partially trained or fully trained dog. Head trainer Kasey Joy Nash (IAABC-ADT, BUCS-CADI) has raised and trained service dogs since 2006, personally raising 20 start to finish. She earned her Assistance Dog Training Certification from Bergin University of Canine Studies in 2015 and held the CPDT-KA from 2016 to 2025 before moving her accreditation to the IAABC.

Method

Kasey uses modern, humane training methods based in established behavioral science that prioritize the canine-human relationship, and she rules out pain or fear as training tools.

Owner-training prices

A consultation ($155), which includes a temperament and suitability evaluation for an existing dog, comes first. Private lessons are $140 each or $700 for 6, at home, in a training center or in public. Monthly group outings for advanced students cost $45, and Thursday seminars cost $45 in person or $35 virtual. Consultations and private lessons run on Tuesdays and Fridays.
