About Elizabeth Ingalls Dog Behavior and Training
Behavior consulting in Enfield
Elizabeth Ingalls Dog Behavior and Training is an Enfield practice led by Elizabeth Ingalls, BS, CDBC, L-FDM. She is a Certified Dog Behavior Consultant through the IAABC and a Licensed Family Dog Mediator, and she has been involved in canine welfare for over 20 years, including as Executive Director of Big Fluffy Dog Rescue.
Method
She uses only humane, evidence-based, force free methods and follows the practices of the AVSAB. Her L.E.G.S. framework (Learning, Environment, Genetics and Self) looks for the root of a behavior, and training plans are individualized and built on positive reinforcement.
Services
The behavior modification program serves dogs showing fear, stress, agitation and aggression, including reactivity, resource guarding and biting. She specializes in livestock guardian dog breeds such as Great Pyrenees, Anatolian Shepherds and Maremmas, helping with guarding, barking, stock chasing and overprotectiveness, and is the trainer for several national rescue groups, including National Great Pyrenees Rescue. Sessions run in-home in Enfield and northern and central Connecticut or online, and she also offers trainer-to-trainer consults, mentorships and rescue discounts.
