About Village Dogworks

In-home obedience in Enfield

Village Dogworks is an Enfield obedience and behavioral training business offering affordable, positive-based training. The trainer cites 25+ years experience with all breeds and comes to the client's home, a nearby park or wherever the problem happens, across the greater Hartford area.

Programs

Puppy Visits include 3 home visits covering topics such as housetraining, crate training, play-biting, chewing, walking on lead, handling and leaving a puppy home alone, with written notes and follow-up calls. Basic Obedience teaches Sit, Down, Stay, Come and Heel plus polite greetings, leave it and leash walking, for dogs 4 months and older. Intermediate Obedience works on recall, distance work, distractions and off-leash work, as preparation for goals such as therapy dog visits or Canine Good Citizen. Teaching Tricks follows Basic Obedience, and behavioral consultations address problem behaviors at home.

Prices

Each program is $300, with Puppy Visits as 3 visits and the obedience courses taught in two 3-week sessions with a graduation exam and diploma after 6 weeks. Sessions run 90 minutes, and individual lessons are $125.
