What they offer

Paws and Effect Dog Training offers force-free dog training and behavior consulting in Long Beach. It works with dogs of all ages and breeds on issues from potty training to leash reactivity, including dogs whose walks have turned into barking and lunging.

How sessions work

Each training plan is custom designed. Sessions run an hour and can be held in the client's home, online, or in public places like parks and shopping areas, usually weekly or every other week, and packages of several sessions are available. Group classes are listed as coming soon. New clients can start with a phone consultation and an application.

Training approach

The business trains with treats, praise and play and looks at the dog's exercise, enrichment and routine as a whole. It does not use prong collars, e-collars or choke chains.
