About Alpha Buddy Dog Training

Behavior-focused training in Fort Lauderdale

Alpha Buddy Dog Training is a Fort Lauderdale company led by certified trainer and behaviorist Laz Trista, credited with over 20 years of experience, including training psychiatric service dogs that have flown commercially with their owners. The company describes more than a decade of work with South Florida dog owners and is BBB-accredited.

Method

Programs are built around positive reinforcement, with no shock collars, prong collars or intimidation-based methods. Every program starts with an in-person evaluation of the dog's age, temperament, skills and the behavior to address, and that evaluation sets the plan.

Programs

Options include an introductory session, individual lessons, a 6-week basic obedience course, an 8-week Level 2 course, a 10-week off-leash program, a 14-week service dog program, personal protection training, and kennel board and train lasting 2-8 weeks. Puppy training for dogs 8 weeks to 12 months covers socialization, crate training, biting and potty training. Behavior work addresses separation anxiety, aggression toward dogs or people, door bolting, leash pulling, barking and jumping. Private training can take place in the owner's home, and a lifetime guarantee with follow-up coaching is included.
