About Evolutionary Dog Training

Modern training in Fort Lauderdale

Evolutionary Dog Training is based inside Auggie's Pet Supply and Spa at 1918 S Andrews Ave in Fort Lauderdale and serves South Florida. Owner Yolanda Freeman, CPDT-KA, CTDI, is also an AKC Canine Good Citizen evaluator and Pet Professional Guild member, and has mentored trainers for PetSmart, Animal Behavior College and Catch Dog Training Academy. She describes nearly 14 years as a professional trainer and volunteers as a therapy dog evaluator.

Method

Training uses scientifically studied methods, free from fright, injury or intimidation, and teaches owners to be their dog's trainer.

Programs

Private lessons take place at home or another chosen location, working on sit, down, stay, come, leave it, heel and tricks. Personal canine coaching can train a dog while the owner is out, including field trips to the park or store. Group classes include Puppy Preschool, reactive dog classes and basic manners, held at Pet Supplies Plus in Sunrise, with tricks classes at Auggie's Doggies on SW 1st Ave. Family puppy training covers house training, crate training and nipping, and behavior modification addresses leash reactivity, biting, chewing and fear-based aggression. Therapy dog and Canine Good Citizen training are also offered. Hours are 9am to 7pm daily.
