About PawTenders

Boutique grooming and training in Dallas

PawTenders is a small boutique grooming and training facility at 1903 Skillman Street in Dallas, serving Lakewood, East Dallas, Lake Highlands, Highland Park, University Park and Uptown since 2009. Owner and trainer Tammy Godfrey runs it as an obedience-driven, hands-on facility that gives personal attention to each pet. Part of its mission is educating clients so they understand and live well with their dogs, which Tammy hopes helps keep shelter populations down.

Training and prices

A one-hour basic obedience lesson costs $70; private lesson packages run four lessons for $250 or five for $300. In-facility training days cost $75 each, or $650 for ten days with two private lessons. The Basic Obedience program, 10-15 days with boarding and two private lessons for $800, teaches sit, down, stay, leave it, come when called and leash training. Advanced Obedience, also $800, covers heel, down on recall, stay in place and off-leash work for dogs that have finished Basic. Additional family dogs get a 25% discount.
