About Redeeming Dogs

Personalized training in Dallas

Redeeming Dogs is the Dallas dog training business of owner and trainer Tod McVicker, an IACP professional-level member (IACP #2591) who lists the CDT, PDTI and CDTA credentials. He began showing Cardigan Welsh Corgis in AKC conformation around 1987 and describes his aim as aligning dogs with their owners: putting the owner in the role of leader and the dog in the role of a trusting pack member. The business serves the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex, from Addison and Carrollton to Plano, Lewisville, Irving and Southlake.

Ways to train

The three-week Board & Train has dogs living in Tod's home setting, training with him and playing with the resident pack, with no more than two client dogs at a time. Owners get regular video updates and emails, and are trained in the methods at pickup. Training at Your Home is an in-home consultation tailored to specific issues, from introducing a new dog to puppy needs or a particular behavior problem. Puppy training is also offered, and the business works with phobias, obsessions and adult dog aggression.

What owners say

One client wrote that after board and train their rescue "came back to me calm and willing to obey."
