Pacesetter K9 is a veteran owned and operated company at 555 County Road 200 in Liberty Hill that trains K9s for law enforcement and private industry. It buys dogs from around the world and trains them in narcotics detection, explosives detection, dual purpose patrol and detection, and specialized detection such as currency and accelerants.

Dogs and handler courses

The kennel offers fully trained drug, bomb and currency dogs, selection-tested detector dogs, and fully trained or selection-tested dual purpose patrol and detector dogs, along with tracking dogs. When an agency buys a dog, the new handler comes to the Liberty Hill facility for an intensive K9 Handler Course, with dorm lodging during the course. Agencies with existing dogs can book custom training ranging from a few hours of on-site K9 handling and safety instruction to a 3-day annual handler recertification course and a 10-week K9 trainer course.
