Lara's Canine Solutions is a dog training and boarding business with locations in New Braunfels and Wimberley, serving San Marcos and Central Texas. It also breeds German Shepherd Dogs from German and Slovak Schutzhund bloodlines and places rescues, each of which goes through its 4 week training.

Getting started

Every dog starts with an evaluation of about an hour: $150 for one dog, $180 for a behavioral evaluation and $125 for military and rescue dogs. Owners then choose private lessons or board and train. Training ranges from basic obedience to advanced skills such as service dog work, plus help with puppy problems, behavioral problems, second-hand dogs and the rehabilitation of abused animals.

Rates

Private lessons run 45 minutes at $125, or $150 for a behavioral lesson. The Foundation Package of 6 weekly lessons, covering leash manners, sit, down, stay and come, is $700, and a 6-lesson Behavioral Package is $850. Board and train dogs stay in the kennel and train daily: the 4-week Foundation Package is $3,600 and includes a Dogtra electronic collar, the 2-week Manners Package is $1,800, and the 2-week Off Leash Package for recall is $2,000. Packages include owner lessons and a bath.
