About Advanced K-Nine Training

What they offer

Advanced K-Nine Training is a veteran-owned business that trains in the Clearwater area of Florida and also in the Cincinnati area; its contact form asks clients whether they are in the Cincinnati area or the Clearwater area. The services page lists basic obedience for dogs over six months, advanced off-leash obedience, puppy training that covers potty training, nipping, chewing and jumping, and specialized training for service dogs and protection dogs, including personal protection work with imprinting and gunfire. The home page also mentions trick training and help with challenging behavioral issues.

How it works

Obedience can be done either as a board and train stay followed by private follow-up lessons, or as a weekly course of one-hour sessions. The basic course works on commands such as with me, sit, down, climb, leave it and off, and the advanced off-leash course adds heel and come. Puppy training runs as a board and train with follow-up lessons and includes potty training. The site offers a free evaluation to get started.

Who runs it

The business is owned and operated by Mike Dooley, a U.S. Army veteran. His About page says he has more than 15 years of professional dog training experience and that he was the first student to earn the Certified Pet Trainer certification through Top Tier K9. It adds that he has worked with dogs of every breed, age and temperament, from puppies needing a strong foundation to dogs requiring advanced obedience and behavioral training.
