Progress 4 Paws is a Largo dog training business owned by Alison Schaefer, CPDT-KA, CSCC, ABCDT, offering private training across Pinellas County, from Clearwater and Belleair to Seminole, Safety Harbor and St. Petersburg. Alison is certified through the Certification Council for Professional Dog Trainers and Animal Behavior College, is a certified Canine Strength and Conditioning Coach, an AKC Canine Good Citizen and Trick Dog Evaluator, and a member of the APDT. Her goal is to bridge the communication gap between people and dogs using reward-based, science-based methods.

Services

New clients start with a 90-minute in-home consultation that builds a custom plan. Options include a six-lesson private package, a puppy package, accelerated training in which the trainer comes to the home four days a week, training walks, and 40-minute virtual sessions over Zoom. Behavior modification covers resource guarding, mild separation anxiety, dog and human reactivity, handling, barking and fears. AKC programs include S.T.A.R. Puppy, CGC, Community Canine, Urban CGC and Trick Dog, along with leash manners, tricks and canine fitness.
