Von der Stadtrand German Shepherds
Overview
About Von der Stadtrand German Shepherds
German Shepherd breeder with private lessons
Von der Stadtrand German Shepherds is primarily a German Shepherd breeding program, but it also offers private training. One-on-one lessons for basic and advanced obedience are taught by Schutzhund trainer Clayton Warichak, outdoors Monday through Friday from April until November in Jefferson.
Private training
Lessons are open to all breeds, from 7-week-old puppies to dogs over 7 years. Basic obedience covers on- and off-leash heeling, sit, down and a reliable come when called. The site says the first lesson is free for new clients, and owners who want to go further can work on Schutzhund obedience.
Club training
Owners of the kennel's own puppies and dogs can join club training most Saturdays, working through Schutzhund obedience levels, with protection work as an option.
What to ask
Ask about lesson times during the April to November season, and whether your dog's goals are pet obedience or sport work.
