About A Better Dog Trainer
What they offer
A Better Dog Trainer has provided in-home, personalized dog and puppy obedience training for more than 20 years and serves Marin and the other Bay Area counties from San Rafael.
Approach
The program rests on four principles: loving leadership without pain or fear, praise rather than treats, clear and consistent communication, and teaching the dog to override its impulses. Owners learn to communicate what is and is not acceptable.
Behavior help
The same method is used for problem behaviors including aggression, excessive barking and separation anxiety.
What they can help with
Sessions in your own home, where many behavior problems actually happen.
Sit, stay, recall and reliable commands, from beginner to advanced.
Early socialization, house-training and first manners for young dogs.
Help for dogs that bite, lunge or react out of fear or aggression.
Easing the panic and destruction some dogs feel when left home alone.
Behavior modification for unwanted or problem habits.
