What they offer

This long-running puppy school holds classes in San Rafael at a dog club venue on Kerner Boulevard. Classes are grouped by age rather than size, and each series runs five sessions.

Classes

The sequence starts with Puppy Kindergarten for pups 8 to 12 weeks old, then Puppy I for 12 to 18 weeks and Puppy II and III for older puppies. Dog I is for dogs over 18 weeks that have not taken a class before. Puppy classes are held off leash, building social skills, confidence and off-leash control around distractions under an instructor's eye.

Good to know

Students get access to a library of online training videos to keep practice going at home. The venue is on a second floor reached only by stairs.
