About Active K9

A family-run training pack

Active K9 is a family-run dog training business in Park City led by Samantha Bednar, CTBS. She attended Triple Crown Academy, a dog trainers school, where she became a Certified Canine Training and Behavior Specialist, with classes ranging from basic obedience to service dog training. Samantha trained her first client dog at 13, and her work centers on a lesson from her early in-home lessons: many problems such as digging, excessive barking and leash pulling trace back to a lack of exercise. Every dog gets a custom program built around its needs.

Training and education

Active K9 helps owners with pulling, jumping, barking and general unruliness through training and education programs with personal attention and custom routines, starting with a consultation. The business also runs group classes and training courses, seminars and workshops, and bite prevention education. Family members support the work: office manager Mike is devoted to service dog rights, and Carmie started a Blanket Project that has provided over 70 blankets for children who survived dog attacks.
