About Dog Evolution
Behavior training built on communication
Dog Evolution is the Park City practice of dog behaviorist and trainer David Utter, who also serves Salt Lake City and describes himself as a member of the IACP and IWDA. He works with dogs of any breed, size or age and focuses on empowering owners with dog psychology and behavior skills so progress continues at home. His method uses play, interactive thinking, body language, structure, sport exercise and voice, with a ratio of 70% praise to 30% correction, and he favors love and interaction over treat rewards or e-collars. Lifetime support is part of the offer.
What he works on
Services cover leash and off-leash obedience, potty training, stays and downs, coming and retrieving, chewing and digging, stealing food or toys, nonstop barking, food guarding, puppy mouthing and nipping, anxiety and submissive urination, jumping and hyperactivity, and dog aggression. Private lessons target issues such as leash aggression and resource guarding, and rally obedience is also offered.
