About Adventure Gundogs

What they offer

Adventure Gundogs has operated for 23 years in Endicott, run by Don Evanson, who has worked around animals from racehorses to hunting dogs. It offers gun dog training and tailors each program to the individual dog's needs.

How he trains

The site describes positive reinforcement techniques and a focus on building a trusting relationship between owner and dog. Dogs in training are treated like his own: they are trained as individuals from inside his home rather than living in a kennel, unless that is what the dog knows, and routines are adjusted when a dog needs something different. He prefers calls or texts for questions and appointments.
