About Alchemy Dog Training

Alchemy Dog Training is a Marietta school at 545 Glover St SE that works with both pet owners and competition handlers. Its own line explains the name: Webster's defines alchemy as "any seemingly magical process of changing ordinary materials into something of true merit", and the strapline is "The Formula for Fun on the Run!"

Training options

The published options are agility, obedience, behavior consulting and special needs, and board training, offered as both group classes and private classes. A class schedule is published on the site — a Beginner Obedience group runs on Sunday evenings.

The trainers

Anne Jones is named on the site as the owner and primary trainer, described as very active in the canine training and performance community and as continuing her education about dogs. The site names the assistant trainers as Colleen Allen, Diane Dittrich, Pat McClellan and Rebecca Simonski, and says all of them have titled multiple dogs in obedience and agility.

Who it is for

The school is explicit that it is not only for competitors: the same methods are used to teach the obedience a companion dog needs to come along on hikes, family vacations and social gatherings.
