About Elena’s K-9

Elena's K-9 is an Acworth business built around one program: a four-week advanced board and train. Its published philosophy is to work with the dog's drive rather than against it — "I focus on channeling your dog's natural energy and drive into their obedience training. Rather than diminishing their enthusiasm, I use it to create an engaging learning environment that builds their confidence and enhances their unique personality."

The program

The four-week residential course covers advanced obedience: off-leash commands, impulse control, socialization with distractions, distance commands, immediate recall and staying in place. Behavior work is included where needed, with reactivity, crate training and barking named specifically. Go-home goals are set around the owner's life, from a busy family household to off-leash hiking.

How it is run

Intake is deliberately small: "I only board and train a few dogs at a time to ensure your dog gets the help it needs and isn't lost in a large group." Resources on dog care and puppy care, forms and a gallery are published on the site, and inquiries are taken by text or call.
